SMS/Email Terms & Conditions

InsureLink Insurance Services (“InsureLink”) offers access to various product and service offers through one-time or recurring SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service) text alerts, chat messages, and email alerts. Read these Terms and Conditions (this “Agreement”) for important information about these email and text alert services (“text alerts”). Additional terms apply to the use of our website and online services and to the information we collect and use. These terms are outlined in our Website Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Please read those documents for more information.

When you enroll in our text alerts using SMS or MMS, you are required to provide your phone number with area code within the United States, including the District of Columbia, for your mobile device. When enrolling in text alerts delivered through emails, you must provide a valid email address. By enrolling to receive text alerts (via SMS, MMS, or email), you agree to these terms and conditions, which become effective upon your enrollment. You may be asked to verify your mobile phone number before text alert services begin, which may require you to respond to a text alert sent to your mobile device confirming your enrollment.

You acknowledge that text alerts will be sent to the mobile device number or email address you provide to InsureLink. These alerts may include personal information depending on the content being communicated. To the extent that others have access to your mobile device, carrier account, or email address, they may also access this personal information.

By enrolling in our text alerts services, you acknowledge that (i) you will receive such information through an unencrypted method of communication, and (ii) information contained in an unencrypted email and/or text message is at risk of being intercepted and read by, or disclosed to, unauthorized third parties. Once you enroll, the frequency of text or email alerts we send will vary. You will typically receive alerts when we have information related to a product or service you’ve purchased or enrolled in or when you’ve opted to receive other communications.

Separate message and data rates may apply depending on the terms of your mobile device service contract. You are solely responsible for all message and data charges you incur. Please contact your mobile service provider for more information about such charges.

You may opt out of text alerts at any time. To stop receiving text alerts, text STOP to the number from which you are receiving messages. After submitting a request to unsubscribe, you will receive a confirmation text that you have been removed from the text alert program. No further alerts will be sent unless you reactivate your enrollment. For assistance with text alerts, text the word HELP. We may continue to send you emails related to your transactions with InsureLink.

Text alerts are offered on an “as is” basis and: (1) may not be available in all areas at all times; and (2) may not function in the event of product, software, coverage, or service changes made by your wireless carrier. InsureLink may change or discontinue any of its text alert programs at any time without notice or liability. InsureLink shall not be liable for any losses or injuries resulting directly or indirectly from any text alerts or from technical failures or delays. InsureLink may terminate the delivery of text alerts to any person at its sole discretion.

THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A MANDATORY ARBITRATION OF DISPUTES PROVISION THAT REQUIRES THE USE OF ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS TO RESOLVE DISPUTES, RATHER THAN JURY TRIALS OR CLASS ACTIONS. THE TERMS OF THIS ARBITRATION PROVISION ARE INCLUDED IN THE WEBSITE TERMS.
